Registration forms will be available here soon!  Stay tuned!

And now for the EXCITING NEWS!

Faculty for the BC schools will be Sue Beck, Showmanship Judge and International Faculty. Faculty for the Alberta and Saskatchewan schools will be Marcia Pinvidic, Showmanship Judge, International Faculty, International Board Member and Regional Faculty. We are so delighted to have these two knowledgeable women as faculty.

Trends from the judging panel at our recent Regional convention suggest that areas for improvement for both choruses and quartets include Visual Planning to Support the Music, Stage Makeup Techniques and Characterization. Both Marcia and Sue plan to incorporate this information into their classes.

If your chorus purchases 10 registrations, the 11th registration is free.
Such a deal!!!

MORE EXCITING NEWS!
Planning is also underway for our 2nd Regional Education Symposium, August 15th to 18th, 2013 with "The Buzz", International Quartet Champions, as faculty.

Here is an exerpt from a testimonial by Diane Porsch, Master Director of Buffalo Gateway Chorus in Region 16, following a Regional Music School put on by "The Buzz":

I feel that a lot of things are turning away from “competition” and headed in the direction of “convention”.  This past weekend was really special…because the four of YOU represent a deep-seated soulful and sincere passion for Sweet Adelines and the music that we sing.  You engaged everyone in the most simple and from-the-heart sort of way.  Sitting on the sidelines and watching you work…and seeing the reaction of our region was beyond description, really.

We’ve had many fine educators present information at music schools since I’ve lived here….all of them “very good”.  We’ve NOT had our heart-strings jerked on quite the way they were this past weekend.  You are very special as individuals…not to mention what and who you are as an ensemble.

Thank you for BEING with us…and I mean BEING with us…not just presenting things…collecting a check and flying home.  YOU all became a PART of us…and the impact that you had on every attendee is much more far-reaching that I think ANY of you really could appreciate or comprehend.
