Alberta Heartland - A Million Dreams

Alberta Heartland kicked off their most recent show with an exciting performance of "A Million Dreams."  The audience loved it.  They were ready and primed to catch the feeling with Matt Schuurman and Julian Faid from Rapid Fire Theatre, the emcees for the evening.  Some improvisational theatre, some audience participation, and a lot of music kept everybody involved.  Matt and Julian's brand of humor had them rolling in the aisles.  The music ranged from ballads to dance tunes, all presented in the barbershop style.

Five barbershop quartets, all chorus members, filled out the evening.  Having so many quartets in a relatively small chorus. is a huge benefit.  They all did us proud.  For information on each quartet, check out our "About" page.  They are: Chance! quartet, Good Vibes, Heads Up!, Leap of Faith, and Mosiac Blend, all talented and accomplished musicians.

In the lobby, there was a very successful silent auction.  Items ranged from bottles of wine, to tools, to gift certificates.   Everything was donated by our very appreciated sponsors.  The area was busy both before and after the show, with everybody wanting to check the bargains.  The auction was supervised by Lynell Bird with the help of her team, Ken Bosnick, Chad Levitt and Cait Jahner.  Transport was handled by Amy Rice and Bob Blackmore.   Thank you to all.

The show could not have happened without the expert leadership of show chair, Yolanda Quintinalla, Stage manager, Tina Aseltine and our talented director, Lisa Hunszinger.  They worked tirelessly (and sometimes sleeplessly)  to make this the best show ever.  If you missed it, be sure to watch for our next show in 2021.  They get better every time, so the next one should be a real blockbuster.
