The RMT and Region 26 are thrilled to congratulate our very own Joey Minshall on being advanced to Master Music Arranger, the highest designation possible in the Arranger Certification Program of Sweet Adelines International.

We are so proud to claim Joey as one of our own. Choruses around the world are singing her arrangements.  Congratulations, Joey and thank you for your contributions to Region 26, the only all Canadian region, and to Sweet Adelines International.

Joey Minshall – Our Region 26 Treasure

Westcoast Harmony Chorus recently honored Joey Minshall at a celebration to acknowledge her most recent achievement – her advancement to Master Music  Arranger (MMA)  in the Arranger Certification Program (ACP) of Sweet Adelines International. Joey was accepted into the arrangers program in 1977 (when it was still the original Association of Arrangers – which later became IMAP, and now ACP!). Since then Joey has gone on to share her talents and gift us with many beloved arrangements. Joey was humble as always, and clearly touched that so many made the effort to attend her celebration and share their experiences of Joey, and the ways that her arrangements mean so much to so many.

The evening was full of music, laughter, tears and many wonderful memories.  Sweet Adeline dignitaries such as Joan Boutilier, Jim Arns, Dale Syverson, Peggy Gram, Ryan Heller, Lori Lyford, Jennifer Cooke, Mo Field and Erin Howden attended the evening and spoke eloquently about Joey’s contributions to the arranging world of our organization.  There were video appearances from Sandy Marron and Glenda Lloyd, and the Buzz, Bling! And Frenzy.  Memorable video performances of Joey’s arrangements were shared with all attendees, which included regional representatives and proud Westcoast Harmony Chorus members.

Our own Region 26 was well represented in the dignitaries present at Joey’s celebration.  Corinna Garriock sang a lovely tribute to Joey from her home in Eastern Canada.  Marcia Pinvidic, Lynn Gerrard Tatton and Donya Metzger shared their Joey memories.  Leslie Mackay, Regional Team Coordinator, brought words of congratulations and appreciation from the Region 26 Management Team.  Westcoast members were there too, so proud of their former Master Director, and rightly so!  Joey mentored Anne Downton, their current Director, who has since gone on to become the youngest Master Director in Sweet Adeline history.  The talent in this Region 26 chorus is remarkable!

Region 26 is SO PROUD of you, Joey!  You are SO deserving of the Master Music Arranger Award!  We know you will be continuing to awe and inspire us with new arrangements in the future.  Thank you in advance from a Sweet Adeline world that loves and cherishes you, and so appreciates the way you wear your heart on your sleeve when you weave the magic of your musical arrangements.  You are a regional treasure!
