Trailblazing is not for the faint of heart. Lisa, always fearless, not only blazes the trail but sprinkles gasoline on it and throws the match.
After a hiatus of two years due to the pandemic and not being able to meet in person as a region, I was so thrilled last spring to finally be able to award the second Cammi MacKinlay Leadership Excellence Award in person to the one and only Marcia Pinvidic!
Over 40 years, Prairie Gold achieved 30 regional awards, including receiving 8-1st place Small Chorus awards and 2 -1st place Mid-size Chorus awards. They have also received the award for Most Improved chorus twice.

Chorus & Quartet Updates
January 15, 2024 was the 20th Anniversary of Alberta Northern Lights Chorus (formerly Alberta Heartland Chorus).
"Sing Like A Champion" was born out of a desire to open the doors of barbershop singing to a wider audience.
Alberta Gold Chorus had a busy fall starting with a small group that sang at Field of Crosses leading up to Remembrance Day, which we feel so honoured to be part of every year.
Battlefords Blend Chorus has been on the move and in the community more this fall than we have been in the past few years!
After a relaxing summer in 2023—well somewhat relaxing, with a four-week break, but Westcoast never really relaxes!—all of us at Westcoast are focused on International 2024 in Kansas City.
Pacific Edge Chorus was swept up into a spiral of activities and events in the last quarter of 2023 that carried us through into the New Year and set several of us down on the deck of a luxury cruise ship – top that wave!!
After going to our first competition in 5 years, we came back ready to get started on our upcoming Stampede performances. Our hard work paid off, because the audience gave us a lot of positive feedback!
Like a gust of wind rushing through us, excitement builds, approaching the home stretch to the international contest stage in Louisville.
