Region 26 is proud to be one of several dozen regions globally representing Sweet Adelines International. As the only 100% Canadian region, we unite individuals and chorus groups across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Northwest Territories, Yukon, and Nunavut, creating a strong network of passionate singers and leaders who bring barbershop harmony to life.
Our mission goes beyond music. Region 26 empowers individual members through education, advocacy, and connections within the global Sweet Adelines community, ensuring they feel valued and supported in their journey. Here, each singer becomes part of something larger, finding a place to grow both musically and personally while building lasting friendships and a sense of belonging. From first-time singers to seasoned performers, every member has access to a wealth of resources and opportunities to advance their skills and confidence.
A Hub for Growth and Connection
For our 21 chartered choruses and numerous quartets, Region 26 serves as a trusted partner—providing resources, advocacy, and support that help each group lead their members, participate in competitions, and thrive as a collective. Our Management Team, consisting of eight dedicated leaders, collaborates closely with each chorus, enabling them to make the most of the educational and competitive opportunities available through Sweet Adelines International. This structure ensures that every group, no matter its size or location, has the tools it needs to flourish and inspire its members.

A Legacy Rooted in Excellence
Founded in 1981 with the redrawing of International boundaries, Region 26 became the home for Canadian voices previously part of Region 13, which spanned Washington and Alaska. From our first convention in 1982, we have built a rich legacy of harmony and community, balancing a respect for tradition with a spirit of innovation. Today, our region continues to be a place of excellence, support, and inspiration, connecting over 800 members who share a commitment to barbershop harmony.

Our logo—a mosaic of a maple leaf—embodies the essence of Region 26.
